About Bari Foods
Bari Italian Subs was founded in 1973 by Joseph and Grace Pedota, who emigrated from Bitritto near Bari, Italy. Their mission was to serve the local Italian community on Grand Avenue, and with a commitment to exceptional service and high-quality products at affordable prices, Bari quickly became a beloved neighborhood institution.
For many years, the business was proudly operated by their sons, Frank and Ralph, who expanded Bari's offerings while staying true to the traditional recipes and values that made it a success. Under their leadership, Bari became known for its acclaimed Italian subs, homemade Barese sausages, and new family recipes like fresh sauces, prepared dishes, giardiniera, and pestos.
In 2017, Frank and Ralph retired and passed the torch on to their grandsons and great-nephews, Ryan and Brenden. Now at the helm, Ryan and Brenden have continued to uphold Bari's legacy while introducing new ideas and products, all while maintaining the same dedication to quality and customer service. Though Frank and Ralph are enjoying their retired lives, they remain a valuable source of support and advice for the next generation.
Bari is more than just a deli—it's an old-fashioned Italian grocery offering a wide selection of imported cheeses, prosciuttos, salamis, olive oils, vinegars, pastas, and more. Whether you're in need of a special cut of veal, beef, or pork, or a custom meatball mix, cheeses, catering and more Bari has you covered.
For over 50 years, Bari has proudly maintained the friendly, neighborhood atmosphere that has made it a beloved institution in the community.
